Job Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Position patients appropriately, maintain imaging equipment, ensure machines are functioning properly, and organize the procedure room for safety and efficiency.
• Monitor image quality during procedures, adjusting as needed for diagnostic accuracy.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.
• Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures; practice hand hygiene, use of PPE, and isolation precautions.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for Mammography Technologists.

Required Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Current state license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Preferred Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
• Physical: ability to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
• Interpersonal: work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Technical/Motor: fine manipulation, push/pull, and ability to assist with procedures and departmental equipment.
• Mental: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally or independently, handle irregular schedules, and maintain continuous concentration on detail.
• Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
