Overview
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a travel position in Washington, District of Columbia. Start date: 06/29/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8‑hour days. Employment type: Travel.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support.
- Interpret doctors’ written instructions.
- Perform mammography studies and maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards.
- Develop mammograms, observe results, retake as needed, and forward completed studies to the radiologist for interpretation.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Use the McKesson PACS system.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography.
- State‑specific licensing when required.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, and bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
