Travel Mammography Technologist - $1,849 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Radiology is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Joliet, Illinois.

Job Summary

Travel Mammography Technologist – 13 weeks, 40 hours/week, 8‑hour days, start ASAP.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• Current state license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• ARRT certification preferred
• Other certifications and licenses may be required

Essential Work Functions

• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
• Position patient for imaging procedure
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment; set up procedure room for safety and efficiency
• Monitor image quality during procedures and adjust as needed
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams
• Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures
• Practice infection prevention through hand hygiene, PPE, and isolation precautions
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice

Required Essential Skills

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient reading, writing, and communication in English
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with various personnel with a positive attitude and professionalism
• Technical/motor skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move during procedures and equipment use
• Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular activity schedules, continuous concentration on detail
• Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
