Seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Bentonville, Arkansas. The assignment is 12‑hour days, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during, and after delivery. They ensure the medical and emotional needs of their patients are met throughout the birthing process. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with epidurals, pain medications, episiotomies, and preparation for Cesarean delivery.

  • Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
  • Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
  • Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
  • Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids before and after the birthing process.
  • Assist physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
  • Provide immediate care of the newborn.

Qualifications

  • 3 years recent acute care experience.
  • ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, and 2 years of experience (additional certifications may be required before assignment).
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods; lift 20 pounds comfortably and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Good stress‑coping skills; ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
