United Staffing Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois.

Position: Labor & Delivery RN
Schedule: 12-hour days; every 3rd weekend, Saturday and Sunday on days; every other holiday; block scheduling where possible
Experience: Minimum 2 years L&D, proficient in care of the high-risk OB patient
Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP and a completed advanced AWHONN EFM class; active IL license; negative drug screen for all panels
EMR: EPIC with Epic Stork; Obix fetal monitoring on Philips monitors
Unit: Level I trauma and Level III perinatal center - 9 LDR rooms, 2 OR suites and a PACU, 6 triage rooms, an 18-bed antepartum unit and 36 private postpartum rooms
Duties: Care for pregnant and high-risk pregnant patients through vaginal and cesarean delivery and cerclage placement at AWHONN ratios (1:1 for Pitocin induction and active labor, two nurses to one patient at delivery, 1:1 in PACU, 1:3 in triage); titrate Pitocin, magnesium and insulin; circulate cesarean sections and recover in PACU; provide newborn care at both vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Note: Charge nurse 24/7 who does not take an assignment; labor hospitalist in house 24/7 with newborn hospitalists daily; 2-3 surgical techs per shift
