American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience for a role requiring ARRT and BLS certification at an academic teaching hospital.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an IR Technologist
- ARRT and BLS certification required; ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
- License required if applicable
- Teaching hospital experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Experience with outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU patients
- Proficiency with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, GU, abdominal/pelvic, and upper/lower extremity procedures
- Ability to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, and snare kits
- Experience with TIPS, carotid stenting, dialysis graft interventions, embolization, IVC filter placement, and vertebroplasty preferred
- Skills in venous access, port/central line management, PICC care, and vascular procedures
Responsibilities
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department of an academic, tertiary care medical center
- Adult and ICU patient population including outpatient and inpatient cases
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call rotation averaging 10 days per month, including a weekend
- No floating outside of scope required
- Uses PACS, C-Arm, Siemens equipment, contrast media, and injector systems (ACIST preferred)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, biopsies, and drainage procedures
- Support neurological, genitourinary, vascular, and abdominal/pelvic interventional studies
- Scrubs provided
- Onsite parking available at no cost
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be considered
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
