American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring ARRT certification and at least 1 year of direct experience.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Applied Sciences required; BSN required
- ARRT (R) certification required
- IEMA Licensure required if applicable
- BLS and ACLS certification through AHA required
- Illinois license must be in hand at time of consideration; emergency or pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of direct experience required
- CCI RCES and CCI RCIS certifications preferred
- Experience with equipment setup, scrub procedures, maintaining sterile field, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Ability to recognize life‑threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias
- Competency in caring for middle adult and older adult patient populations
- Skills checklist and 2 professional references required, with one reference from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge RN within the last year
Responsibilities
- Multi‑specialty department including Interventional Radiology
- Cath Lab/EP Lab experience preferred
- Work settings include diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab
- Procedures include ASD closures, cardiac implant closure device, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, laser‑assisted procedures, EP studies, cardiac ablation, mapping, cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, tilt table study, carotid stenting, and endovascular interventions
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On call required 5-6 days per month including one weekend
- May be subject to floating between facilities within the health system if requested by the unit
- Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing in cardiac cath lab procedures, maintaining infection control, isolation precautions, PPE use, and sterile technique
- Non‑licensed direct patient caregivers not listed as eligible in the IL Healthcare Worker Registry must travel to Illinois at least two Fridays before their start date for mandatory in‑state fingerprinting
- All requested time off must be submitted with the candidate profile and cannot be added after submission
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
