Travel Instrument Technician (Sterile Processing)Compensation: $20-$22/hr Location: Canton, GA 30115 Contract Length: 13-Week Contract Shift: 8-Hour Evening Shift | Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Per WeekWe are seeking an experienced Travel Instrument Technician to join a Sterile Processing Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments while maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety.Key ResponsibilitiesDecontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instrumentsOperate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization cyclesInspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and damagePrepare surgical instrument trays according to procedure requirementsMaintain inventory of sterile supplies and instrumentsFollow infection prevention and sterile processing standardsDocument sterilization records accuratelyCollaborate with operating room staff to ensure instrument availabilityMaintain a clean and organized work environmentComply with facility safety and quality standardsMinimum QualificationsMinimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing/Instrument Technician experienceExperience reprocessing surgical instrumentsKnowledge of sterilization techniques and infection prevention practicesPrevious travel experience is a bonusHSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) certificationExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
