American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with 3+ years of experience for an inpatient and outpatient setting in Iowa, working Monday–Friday day shifts. Details

Inpatient and outpatient physical therapy setting at a hospital and clinic Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm Patient population includes neurological, burn/wound, musculoskeletal, and other acute or chronic physical disabilities 13-week contract Requirements

Minimum 3 years of physical therapy experience required Graduate of an APTA-accredited program with a certificate, master's degree, or doctorate in physical therapy required Current Iowa state PT license required; license required if applicable Current BLS/BCLS certification required Basic computer proficiency required Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Ability to stand 7–8 hours and walk 6–7 hours per workday Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and manage awkward loads up to 100+ lbs as needed Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level throughout the workday DOB and SSN may be required for consideration Additional Information

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients using physical therapy techniques to relieve pain, restore function, and promote independence Duties include establishing individualized treatment plans and goals, re-evaluating patient progress, and making discharge recommendations Clinician will educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, home programs, and injury prevention Recommends and facilitates adaptive equipment as appropriate Collaborates and co-treats with interdisciplinary care team members May assist with departmental program development and provide inservices for staff and community May supervise PT aides, assistants, students, and volunteers Participates in medical conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities
