Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for various patient care units including Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU. Candidates must possess experience in intensive care settings and be flexible to float to Medical Surgical units as needed. Extensive cardiac experience is essential.

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver optimal care to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments adhering to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Document patient care accurately and in accordance with established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by a physician and in accordance with hospital policy, including providing education to patients and families.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, and effectively escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command.

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Holiday coverage is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing.
• Current Illinois RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required.
