Job Summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN for a 12-week travel assignment in Ringgold, Georgia. As a member of our team, you will provide rapid-response, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department setting, ensuring safety and efficient care in critical situations.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications
- Other certifications or licenses as required for this position
Essential Work Functions
- Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
- Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved protocols
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations
- Monitor patient comfort and safety, responding to immediate needs
- Observe and document patient conditions as required within scope of practice
- Take and monitor vital signs using clinical judgment to detect deviations and prevent complications
- Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
- Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Initiate patient education plans tailored to acute care needs
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers, and other support staff
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
- English language proficiency – reading, writing, and oral communication
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; PC proficiency
Physical Abilities
- Remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment (50‑100 lbs)
- Push, pull, and bend as necessary
Interpersonal Skills
- Work effectively with a variety of personnel, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills
- Grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move around when assisting with procedures or using department equipment
Mental Requirements
- Handle frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Work under close supervision occasionally and also independently
- Manage irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration on detail
