Job Summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN for a 12-week travel assignment in Ringgold, Georgia. As a member of our team, you will provide rapid-response, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department setting, ensuring safety and efficient care in critical situations.

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an ER RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications
• Other certifications or licenses as required for this position

Essential Work Functions

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved protocols
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations
• Monitor patient comfort and safety, responding to immediate needs
• Observe and document patient conditions as required within scope of practice
• Take and monitor vital signs using clinical judgment to detect deviations and prevent complications
• Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
• Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Initiate patient education plans tailored to acute care needs
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers, and other support staff
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Required Essential Skills

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
• English language proficiency – reading, writing, and oral communication
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; PC proficiency

Physical Abilities

• Remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment (50‑100 lbs)
• Push, pull, and bend as necessary

Interpersonal Skills

• Work effectively with a variety of personnel, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism

Technical/Motor Skills

• Grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move around when assisting with procedures or using department equipment

Mental Requirements

• Handle frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
• Work under close supervision occasionally and also independently
• Manage irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration on detail
