Emergency Room Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for providing immediate care in a fast-paced environment.

• Unit: Emergency Room (ER)
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Years of Experience: 2 Years
• Floating Requirements: Travelers are expected to float within their designated zone, which covers a 60-mile radius from the city center. Housing arrangements should facilitate this requirement.
• Orientation: Clinicians must be present in the state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely.

• Trauma Level: 3
• Average Patients: 40 patients per day
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4-5 based on acuity
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Abdominal pain, diabetes mellitus, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, hypertension
• Support Staff: Techs assist with unit secretary duties and support nurses in triage and on the floor.
• Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7, performing breathing treatments and ABGs.
• Phlebotomy: Point of Care lab testing is performed by trained staff.

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

• Shift Type: 12-hour shifts
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday
• Scheduling: Leadership will create schedules based on unit needs.
