Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Charlottesville, VA Acute Care

Contract 13 Weeks Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) Onsite Expected 36-48 hours/week Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
• Deliver emergency nursing care across a broad patient population, including pediatric patients
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Work 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by unit scheduling
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules during onboarding as directed

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required prior to start
• TNCC required (may submit with TNCC pending, but must obtain before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or at least 2 years of Level 2 trauma experience, including some pediatric experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

• BSN preferred
• Experience in a high-volume or academic medical center emergency department
• Broad trauma and pediatric emergency nursing experience

• Multiple start date options available (mid-October and early November) offering scheduling flexibility
