Emergency Room Float Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Float Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires floating between various emergency room satellite locations within the region. The primary objective is to provide high-quality patient care in fast-paced environments.

• Deliver effective nursing care in the Emergency Room setting.
• Float to multiple locations as needed, with a home base determined by management.
• Work collaboratively with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate actively in ongoing training and orientation to maintain competence in required skills.
• Conduct lab draws and manage ventilators as appropriate.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of ER experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS and BLS (TNCC preferred, but not required).
• Ability to complete a dysrhythmia exam successfully prior to starting.
• Pass/fail participation in simulation lab training on the first day of orientation.
• Competence in maintaining a sterile field and executing critical nursing skills, including Foley catheter insertion.

• Work shifts are 12 hours in length.
• Work ratios within the ER are typically 4:1.
• Weekend shifts are required on an every-other-weekend basis.
• Flexibility to work on holidays as needed.

• Uniform Color: Galaxy Blue.
• Familiarity with the Cerner EMR system is preferred.
• Travelers must be prepared to adapt to different protocols and equipment specific to each facility.
