MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Endoscopy for a travel nursing job in Hickory, North Carolina. This assignment is a 13‑week travel position starting 03/30/2026, with 36 hours per week (12‑hour night shifts). The employment type is travel. The role will be based at one of our top healthcare clients.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• At least eighteen months of recent experience in an acute‑care endoscopy setting

Duties & Responsibilities

Endoscopy nurses (RN) are registered nurses with expertise in endoscopy, physiology, pathophysiology, endoscopy procedures, and the pharmacodynamics of conscious sedation anesthesia and analgesia. Responsibilities include:

• Performs assessment and data collection in an ongoing, systematic manner, focusing on the physiologic, psychobiologic, and cognitive needs of patients and families; uses assessment data to formulate nursing diagnoses.
• Provides technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe practice.
• Makes personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity, and privacy, and maintaining a friendly environment at all times.
• Stores, checks, and administers medication in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
• Maintains timely and accurate nursing records, ensuring confidentiality is respected.
• Works with minimal supervision during endoscopic procedures, patient admission, recovery, and related procedures.
