Job Summary

Emergency Room Registered Nurse. This position provides emergency care to newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with conditions including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The role requires strong emergency nursing experience, travel nursing experience, and the ability to provide care across a broad range of acuity levels.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience, including some pediatric experience
  • Travel nursing experience
  • Active New York nursing license
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications
  • Electronic medical record experience with Epic
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge capability experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Provides care for newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, including patients requiring care for stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and sexual assault cases. The role may involve use of rapid infusers and Arctic Sun equipment, along with management of pressors, vasodilators, antiarrhythmics, sedation medications, thrombolytics, heparin, and insulin. Navy blue scrubs are required.
