Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Free Standing Emergency Department)

Austin, TX Free Standing Emergency Department

Contract 13 Weeks Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Weekends Rotate Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in an 11-bed Free Standing Emergency Department setting
• Perform IV starts and conduct 12-lead EKG interpretation and patient assessments
• Operate and monitor ventilator and point-of-care lab equipment as needed
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with a small team (1 CNC, 1 RN per shift) to deliver safe, efficient emergency care
• Rotate weekend shifts as required per unit scheduling guidelines

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience
• Proficiency with IV starts and 12-lead EKG performance and interpretation
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) including rotating weekends
• No on-call requirements for this position

• Prior experience in a Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience operating ventilator and point-of-care lab equipment

• Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a supportive unit culture that values inclusivity and teamwork
• Potential pathway to permanent placement, as permanent positions on this unit may be available
