Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Unit Information

Location: Cypress, TX

• Number of Beds: 19
• Number of Staff: 26 FTEs hired; 33 FTEs are core needed

Staffing Details Day Shift

• 1 Charge Nurse
• 1 Triage Nurse
• 4 Bedside RNs
• 1 Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)
• 1 Technician

Night Shift

• 1 Charge Nurse
• 1 Triage Nurse
• 4 Bedside RNs
• 1 Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)
• 1 Technician

Patient Care

Patient Ratios: 4:1 or 5:1

Type of Equipment: Philips

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Qualifications Required Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience

Preferred Skills

• Experience with the following procedures:
• tPA administration
• STEMI care
• CPR
• Laceration repair
• Orthopedic care

Personality Fit

Ideal candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude and strong cultural fit within the team.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Work Schedule

Weekends are required, with rotation among staff. There is no on-call duty associated with this position.
