American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer for a day-shift outpatient assignment requiring ARDMS or CCI RCS/RDCS certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- ARDMS or CCI RCS or RDCS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Compact state license required if applicable, and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Skilled in obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG
- Experience with IV starts
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
Responsibilities
- Outpatient adult echo setting at an on-campus medical plaza
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays
- No on-call requirements
- Uses GE equipment
- Epic charting system preferred
- Performs Adult Echo, 2-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, and Portable Studies
- Conducts RVIT and RVOT assessments
- Performs calculations including Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area, and Simpson's Rule
- First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract
- Returning staff may reapply after a 3-month waiting period
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the system
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the consideration process
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
