Travel CT Technologist - CT Scan

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ year of experience and ARRT-CT certification for a 13-week evening shift assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
• ARRT-CT and BLS certification required
• Toshiba/Canon CT equipment experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and isolation precautions
• Peripheral IV starts and venipuncture skills preferred
• Active Oregon state license required, or proof of application and fingerprinting; license required if applicable
• One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably within the last year
• No felony convictions accepted

Responsibilities

• CT Tech unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Supports Adult Acute Care, Emergency Department, and ICU patients
• Performs abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and chest CT imaging
• Vascular imaging includes CTA, pulmonary embolism, and aortic studies
• Uses Siemens and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment along with PACS
• 3x12 hour evening shifts, Friday-Sunday from 2:00 PM to 2:30 AM
• No on-call requirements
• Must be willing to float within site and across the health system as required
• Must complete any assigned education within one week of starting the assignment
• Subject to mandatory low census cancellation policy, limited to one shift per two-week pay period without penalty
• Must cancel at least 1.5 hours before shift start in the event of low census
• Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from any facility within the system
• First-time travelers are not specified for consideration
