Travel CT Technologist - CT Scan

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 1+ year of trauma-focused CT experience and ARRT-CT certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience with trauma background required
• BLS and ARRT-CT certification required; ARRT-R preferred
• NJDEP Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• Experience with GE and Toshiba CT scanners
• Proficient in general CT, CT angiograms, stroke and trauma imaging, and IR procedures
• Ability to administer contrast, position patients, and maintain imaging supplies
• Skilled in peripheral IV starts and contrast media preparation/administration
• Experience across adult and pediatric patient populations, including neonate through older adult
• Isolation precautions and PPE competency required

Responsibilities

• CT department in a 651-bed academic medical center and Level II Trauma Center supporting a high-acuity ED, stroke program, and pediatric trauma services
• Operates three CT scanners: two GE units in Main CT and one Toshiba unit in the ED
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, Saturday/Sunday/Monday 9:00 AM-10:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirement
• No floating required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Perform diagnostic CT examinations, administer contrast, position patients, and perform X-ray exams as needed
• Collaborate closely with the ED to support stroke, adult trauma, and pediatric trauma cases
• Dress code includes black top, black bottom, with optional short white lab coat
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a reduced rate
• RTO requests must be submitted with the initial profile; late requests will not be accepted
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
