Travel CT Technologist - CT Scan

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level III trauma center requiring 1.5+ years of hospital CT experience and proficiency with GE and Siemens equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of hospital CT experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT(CT) and ARRT(R) certifications required
• CT and RI state licenses required, license required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with GE and Siemens CT equipment required
• Skilled in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurement preferred
• Experience with preparation and administration of contrast media, starting peripheral IVs, and venipuncture preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• CT Tech department
• 4x10 hour shifts on days, evenings, or nights based on department need
• Weekend work required every week
• Float required between two hospital locations, one in CT and one in RI
• Utilizes GE Optima CT660 scanners along with GE and Siemens equipment
• EPIC charting system in use
• Free parking available on site
• Perform CT imaging of the abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal system, and chest
• Conduct cardiac CT studies including calcium scoring and coronary CTA
• Perform vascular CTA, biopsies, aspirations, and drainage procedures
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID-19 booster required unless religious or medical exemption applies
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Former staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to return as a traveler
• One reference required for consideration
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
