American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-Ray Technologist with an active state license and R.T.(R)(ARRT) credential to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
Requirements
- Active R.T.(R)(ARRT) credential required
- Active state license required, if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- 1 year of CT technologist experience preferred
- Working knowledge of radiographic procedures, radiation physics, and human anatomy/physiology
- Experience with PACS and electronic medical record documentation
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic radiographic and CT imaging in a hospital diagnostic imaging department
- Schedules and performs exams in X-ray, CT, MRI, US, DXA, and Holter Monitor
- 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- Rotates weekends and call
- Produce emergent and routine diagnostic images using fixed and portable X-ray and CT equipment
- Adjust exposure settings and patient positioning to acquire optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure per ALARA principles
- Process images in PACS and complete exams per radiologist protocols
- Assist patients with contrast media administration for CT exams
- Participate in quality control related to equipment, radiation safety, and patient safety
- Provide customer service to patients and staff
- First-time travelers may be considered
