Travel CT Technologist - CT Scan

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist for a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center, requiring 2+ years of recent experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and high school diploma
• New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or limited permit to practice in NYS
• ARRT registration required
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in CT scan specialty
• Epic EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center setting within the Radiology department
• Performs CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (stable and intensive care), research patients, and trauma/emergency room cases
• Includes CT scan-guided specialized procedures
• 3x12-hour shifts, Saturday-Monday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• No on-call responsibilities
• Every weekend required with rotating holiday coverage
• Performs technical procedures and assists in clinical evaluation and patient care under direction of Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist
• Utilizes CT modality to create diagnostic images and ensure a safe, positive patient experience
• Supports teaching and ongoing learning as technology evolves
• Practices and enforces radiation safety measures per NYS Department of Health code part 16
• Does not accept candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in specific counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington)
• Only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted for flu vaccination; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• RTO must be requested at time of submission
