Travel CT Technologist - CT Scan

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an outpatient imaging center requiring 1+ years of experience and ARRT (R)(CT) certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
• BLS and ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
• Fluoroscopy Permit preferred
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis CT with and without contrast
• Experience with spine and musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, thoracic, and lumbar
• Chest CT experience with and without contrast
• Head and neck CT experience with and without contrast
• Experience preparing and administering contrast media
• Skilled in peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• X-ray experience required in extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head/chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Fluoroscopy and enema study experience preferred
• Neonatal and infant patient experience preferred
• Vascular CTA, CT arthrography, brain perfusion, and colonography experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Outpatient imaging clinic serving mobile patients, many for follow-up cancer diagnosis
• Performs IV starts, I-stat labs, contrast injection, and image post-processing
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays
• No Sundays or holidays required
• No on-call requirement
• May float to x-ray coverage within scope as needed
• Uses GE and Siemens CT equipment with PACS
• Epic charting system preferred
• Facility is a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital recognized as a top hospital in Alaska
• Scrubs provided
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Only one time-off request is permitted per 13-week assignment, approved individually upon offer
