Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance as needed.
• Interpret doctors’ written instructions correctly.
• Appropriately position patients for specific scans.
• Use CT equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues.
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility.
• Evaluate scans to ensure good technical quality.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of CT technologist experience.
• ARCT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, BLS certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop easily.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
