Job Summary:
The CT Technologist operates CT equipment to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues for diagnostic purposes. The technologist may also perform general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures.

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • ARRT certification required: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT) .
  • California Radiologic Technologist (RT) license required.
  • CT advanced certification: Preferred in CA.
  • BLS certification from an approved vendor required.
  • Fluoroscopy license: Required in California if performing fluoroscopy.
  • Venipuncture/IV certification: Required in California if administering contrast materials.
  • Facility-specific BLS and Venipuncture (IV) certifications required.

Responsibilities: Perform CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy imaging procedures. Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. Operate and maintain CT and imaging equipment according to established standards. Use PACS and teleradiology systems to accurately transmit images. Maintain accurate patient records, files, and billing information. Protect patient information and comply with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements. Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibration. Monitor and maintain adequate supply inventory. Provide safe, compassionate care to patients ranging from adolescents through geriatric populations. Perform other related duties as assigned.
