Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanning equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes
- Accurately interpret physician scanning instructions and position patients appropriately to capture required images
- Administer contrast materials in accordance with NYS certification requirements
- Prepare and maintain CT scan equipment, adhering to all radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff
- Assist with inpatient portable X-rays ordered during overnight shifts
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an AMA-approved school for radiologic technology with advanced training in CT
- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
- Current ARRT certification
- Active New York State license as a Radiologic Technologist
- NYS certification for contrast injections
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced certification as an MRI technologist
- Experience performing inpatient portable X-rays in an overnight or high-acuity setting
- Ability to safely maneuver equipment and assist patients with limited mobility
