Travel CT Technologist – Buffalo, Minnesota

Hours: 40 per week (8‑hour night shifts)

Job Description & Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled CT Technologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Buffalo, Minnesota. The role involves operating CT scanners, preparing patients, ensuring safety, and collaborating with radiologists to produce high‑quality diagnostic images.

Required Qualifications

  • One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
  • Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current ARRT Certification
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Essential Work Functions

  • Operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately.
  • Set technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
  • Provide high‑quality images to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment.
  • Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other health‑care professionals.
  • Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT tech practice.

Required Essential Skills

  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and assistance with procedures.
  • Mental ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and maintain focus on detail.
  • Sensory ability: visual acuity and effective communication.
