Job Description & Requirements
Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled CT Technologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Buffalo, Minnesota. The role involves operating CT scanners, preparing patients, ensuring safety, and collaborating with radiologists to produce high‑quality diagnostic images.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Essential Work Functions
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately.
- Set technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
- Provide high‑quality images to radiologists for interpretation.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment.
- Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other health‑care professionals.
- Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT tech practice.
Required Essential Skills
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude.
- Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and assistance with procedures.
- Mental ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and maintain focus on detail.
- Sensory ability: visual acuity and effective communication.
