CT Technologist (Travel)

Location: Des Moines, IA.

Duration: 13 weeks with 10‑hour night shifts (40 hours per week). This is a travel position with a tax‑free stipend. Pay will be confirmed upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients.
• Interpret doctors’ written instructions and position patients appropriately for scans.
• Operate computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal structures.
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and ensure accuracy.
• Follow radiation safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience.
• Valid BLS certification.
• ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography.
• State‑specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for extended periods.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
