Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist with Level 1 Trauma experience for a 13‑week night shift contract at a Magnet‑designated academic teaching hospital.
Details
- Work in the CT Scan department of an 865‑bed Magnet, academic teaching, Level 1 Trauma hospital
- Daily caseload varies by shift and location
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Holiday rotation required
- On‑call rotation shared with staff
- Floating within clinical scope to meet facility needs is required, including to sister facilities
- Charting via Epic
- Parking passes available for nights and weekends for a one‑time fee of $20
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of Level 1 Trauma experience required; 1 year of CT experience preferred
- Active BLS (AHA), ARRT RT(R)(CT), and SCRQSA (R)(CT) certifications required
- Siemens CT equipment experience required
- Epic EMR experience
- SC state license must be in hand at time of start — license required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Must be able to provide own radiation badge — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
Additional Information
- First‑time travelers will be considered provided they have relevant prior experience
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; local candidates may be accepted on a case‑by‑case basis
- Pre‑start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- AHA certifications only accepted
