Job Description and Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing – Radiology is seeking a Travel CT Technologist for this 13‑week assignment in Winchester, Virginia. This is a travel position starting ASAP, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts.

Required Qualifications

  • One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
  • Valid radiology license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current ARRT certification
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required

Summary

The CT Tech operates CT scanners to produce cross‑sectional images for diagnostic purposes, prepares patients, positions them safely, ensures imaging protocols, collaborates with radiologists, maintains equipment, keeps patient records, and follows safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure.

Essential Work Functions

  • Operate CT equipment to produce quality images
  • Prepare and position patients and explain procedures
  • Set appropriate technical parameters
  • Provide high‑quality images to radiologists for interpretation
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Document patient information and procedural details accurately
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other professionals
  • Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT tech practice

Required Essential Skills

  • Critical thinking, service excellence, strong interpersonal communication
  • English reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC proficiency
  • Physical ability to stand, move equipment (50‑100 lb), push, pull, bend
  • Interpersonal ability to work with varied personnel and present professionalism
  • Motor skills for fine manipulation and assistance with procedures
  • Mental resilience to frequent public contact, meet deadlines, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration
  • Visual acuity and effective communication (sensory requirements)
