Essential Work Functions

• Operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately.
• Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
• Provide high‑quality images to the radiologist for interpretation.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services.
• Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT tech practice.

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist.
• Valid radiology license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Preferred Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification.
• Other certifications and licenses as required for the position.

Required Essential Skills

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
• Physical Abilities – Ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), and move about with push/pull and bending.
• Interpersonal Skills – Work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Technical/Motor Skills – Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures or department equipment.
• Mental Requirements – Handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without supervision, manage irregular activity schedules, and maintain concentration to detail.
• Sensory – Visual acuity and effective communication.
