Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist.
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ARRT Certification.
- Other certifications and licenses may be required.
Role Summary
The CT Technologist operates CT scanners to produce cross‑sectional images for diagnostic purposes, prepares and positions patients, sets technical parameters, collaborates with radiologists, maintains equipment, documents procedures, and follows safety protocols.
Essential Work Functions
- Operate CT equipment to produce images of bone, organ, and tissue.
- Prepare patients for procedures and position them appropriately.
- Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
- Provide high‑quality images to radiologists for interpretation.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment.
- Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
