Responsibilities

• Position patients for CT scans, using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Set equipment controls and monitor both equipment and patients, making adjustments as needed.
• Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast when applicable.
• Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
• Assist radiologists with interventional CT procedures.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and properly label processed images.
• Schedule patients for procedures and assist with some clerical functions.
• Charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record.
• Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration.
• Deliver quality, cost‑effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Work effectively to maintain an environment of excellence that is patient‑focused and timely.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least eighteen months of experience as a CT Technologist in a health care setting.
• Must hold ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification.
• Willingness to obtain licensure as required by state regulations.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
