Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma facility, requiring ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography.

Details

• Level I Trauma center setting
• CT Tech unit performing diagnostic radiology and CT procedures
• 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every fourth weekend and holidays as assigned
• Call required as assigned within staff rotation
• Typical volume of 270-290 scans per day
• Uses GE and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment
• Charts in EPIC EMR
• Travelers are first to float

Requirements

• ARRT registration required; ARRT CT certification preferred
• Current BLS certification
• OH state license required; pending license accepted (license required if applicable)
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• Minimum 2 years of experience, less may be considered for candidates with Level I or II trauma experience
• Large hospital or Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Experience with GE and/or Toshiba/Canon equipment
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies
• Experience with coronary CTA and vascular CTA preferred
• Proficient in contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic CT and radiology procedures following OhioHealth and ARRT guidelines
• Prepare patients for exams and position them appropriately per department policy
• Provide radiation safety for both patient and operator
• Support adult acute care, emergency department, ICU, and Level I trauma patient populations
• Charcoal grey scrubs required
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Maximum 10 days RTO per contract; no RTO permitted during initial weeks of assignment
• Permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers not considered for this role
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces with no pass required
