Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift role requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT R/CT certification.
Details
- Work in a hospital setting covering both X-ray and CT for ED and inpatient populations
- Two techs staffed per shift covering CT and X-ray duties, including patient transport to/from the ED
- Facility is a Primary Stroke Center
- Off-site radiologists available for consultation via secure paging system
- Uses Epic Radiant for radiology imaging and documentation
- Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Required to float to X-ray as needed
- Hunter Green scrub color required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered CT and X-ray technologist
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
- BLS certification required
- SC Radiology license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
- Trauma Level I and/or Level II experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in abdomen and pelvis imaging, including studies with and without contrast
- Experience with head and neck imaging, including trauma head and carotid studies
- Experience with spine and musculoskeletal imaging, including trauma cases
- Experience with chest imaging, including vascular chest studies (PE, CTA, aorta)
- Proficient in contrast media preparation and administration
- Skilled in radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions/PPE
- Ability to start peripheral IVs preferred
- Experience with GE and/or Siemens equipment preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
- May float to other qualified units or campuses based on facility census needs
- Perform imaging for both emergency department and inpatient populations
- Coordinate with off-site radiologists for real-time consultation during scans
- Complete annual compliance orientation and required training modules prior to starting the assignment
