American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Days position requiring 18+ months of Cath Lab experience and ARRT or RCIS certification.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 months experience in Cath Lab
  • ARRT or RCIS certification required
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • License required if applicable
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • Travel experience within the previous 18 months required
  • Scrubbing proficiency required
  • 24 months of current Cath Lab/Cardiac Cath Lab work history required for consideration
  • Structural heart experience preferred
  • Peripheral vascular experience highly preferred
  • Interventional Radiology and EP experience nice to have
  • Driver's license required for consideration
  • Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

Responsibilities

  • Cardiac Cath Lab unit in a Trauma Level II facility
  • 4x10 day shifts, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday with a rotating day off
  • On-call requirements include 1 night per week and every 3rd weekend (7:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday)
  • Assigned weekend cases may occur on rare occasions
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Required to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units
  • Perform cardiac catheterization and related interventional procedures within the Cath Lab
  • Contractors are required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
  • Local candidates are not accepted; all candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • First-time travelers may be considered with required 18 months of travel experience within the previous 18 months
  • Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation, unless their prior work was as a travel contractor at UnityPoint Health
