Job Summary

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized support in a high-volume cardiac cath lab within a Level I Trauma teaching hospital. The position requires collaboration with advanced health care teams to deliver excellent patient care during complex cardiac and vascular procedures.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS or ARRT-R), BLS, ACLS certification; at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience; relevant state licensure; experienced with peripheral angiograms and run-off procedures.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with endografts, EVARs, TEVARS, or in interventional radiology working alongside vascular surgeons.

  • Additional Information:
    • Patient types include non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NON-STEMI), ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), TAVR, Watchman, and Mitral Clip procedures.
    • Vascular cases involve lower extremity angiograms, EVAR, and TEVAR cases.
    • Familiarity with the EMR system EPIC and advanced hemodynamic monitoring tools such as Merge Hemodynamics is required.
    • Monitors include Philips, GE, and Siemens systems; remote PACS system is ISCV.
    • Orientation includes a one-week training period before on-call duties and completion of EPIC modules.
    • Shift coverage includes weekday and weekend call responsibilities with response times of 30 minutes or less.
    • Holiday shifts are expected as part of the contract.
    • Scrub color is green; parking is provided free of charge.
    • Unit culture is described as great and collaborative.
