Responsibilities

The Cardiac Cath Lab RN performs angioplasties, implants pacemakers, and diagnoses cardiac conditions via invasive catheterization procedures.

• Administer care for heart disease and heart attack patients, obtaining visual diagnostics of the arteries of the heart.
• Identify blockages, assist physicians during procedures, and monitor patients’ status at other times.
• Administer interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, pacemaker and/or defibrillator implantation, and related diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least eighteen months of recent experience in an acute‑care Cath Lab setting.
