Trauma Surgeon

Marshfield Medical Center (MMC) in Marshfield, Wisconsin is seeking a 1.0 FTE BC/BE fellowship-trained Trauma Surgeon to join an established 7-member Trauma Surgery section. The provider will participate in an acute care trauma service model covering all aspects of acute care surgery, critical care, and trauma at a Level II Trauma Center. MMC offers a collaborative clinical environment with strong commitments to medical education and trauma research.

• Trauma attending is in house 24/7
• Day staffing includes one trauma surgeon/surgical intensivist or critical care intensivist staffing the SICU, one surgeon staffing the Acute Care Surgical Service, and one surgeon dedicated to trauma patients on the floor and trauma activations
• Night staffing includes one trauma surgeon covering SICU, Acute Care Surgical Service and Trauma
• ICU and trauma services are each supported with allied health providers
• Acute care surgical service includes surgical resident supervision

Responsibilities

• Cover all aspects of acute care surgery, critical care and trauma

Compensation

• Annual compensation of $605,000 if you complete required number of shifts for 1.0 FTE
• $100,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 4 years (subject to a contractual agreement specifying all details)

Shift & Schedule

• 1.0 FTE

Requirements

• BC/BE fellowship-trained Trauma Surgeon
• Completed a Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Fellowship
• Board certified/board eligible for surgical critical care through the American Board of Surgery
• An interest in participating in trauma research is required
• H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
