This role involves managing a high-volume inpatient trauma census and participating in emergency general surgery coverage. The ideal candidate will join a supportive team with APP and resident support, utilizing Epic EMR.
Practice Info
- Trauma inpatient census: 30–50 patients daily
- Two attending physicians cover the trauma service during daytime hours
- 10–20 trauma activations per 24-hour period
- Approximately 90–95% blunt trauma cases
- Emergency general surgery consult volume ranges from none to as many as 8 consults
- Operative volume ranges from none to as many as 3 emergency cases

- 16 open shifts currently available in December
- Additional coverage needed January through March
- Weekday shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekday call: 4:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend call: 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM
