Trauma Program Manager (RN)Reporting to the Director of Nursing for Trauma/Neurosciences, the Trauma Program Manager (TPM) provides administrative, operational, and quality oversight for the hospital's trauma program in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD). The TPM ensures compliance with American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (COT) standards, state trauma regulations, and hospital policies. This role leads trauma program performance improvement, registry oversight, outreach coordination, injury prevention initiatives, and preparation for COT verification and state trauma designation.

The TPM supervises Performance Improvement Coordinators, Trauma Registrars, and the Injury Prevention Coordinator, while collaborating closely with Emergency Services, Surgical Services, ICU, ancillary departments, and hospital leadership to ensure high-quality trauma care and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative and operational leadership for the hospital trauma programCollaborate with the Trauma Medical Director to ensure compliance with COT standards and state trauma regulationsLead trauma performance improvement and patient safety (PIPS) activitiesOversee trauma registry operations, ensuring accurate and timely data reportingManage trauma program staff, including PI Coordinators, Trauma Registrars, and Injury Prevention CoordinatorCoordinate trauma outreach, education, and injury prevention programs for the communityPrepare the trauma program for COT verification and state trauma designation surveysMonitor trauma quality metrics and ensure adherence to Joint Commission standardsCollaborate with Emergency Department, Surgical Services, ICU, and other hospital departments to optimize trauma patient outcomesDevelop policies, protocols, and best practices aligned with trauma care standardsRequired QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field – RequiredLicensureRegistered Nurse (RN) – Licensed in the State of FloridaCertificationsRequired: BLS, ACLS, TNCCPreferred: PALS, ENPCExperience RequirementsMinimum 5 years of clinical experience in Emergency or Trauma nursingTrauma clinical experience (Emergency Department or ICU preferred)Experience in Trauma Program Management, Trauma Leadership, or Quality ManagementStrong understanding of Quality Improvement processes and Joint Commission standardsKnowledge of COT standards and Trauma PIPS processesFamiliarity with Florida Department of Health Trauma StandardsPreferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare fieldExperience preparing trauma programs for COT verification or state trauma designationCandidate ProfileExperience Level: 2–5+ years leadership experience preferredSeniority Level: Mid-Senior LevelManagement Experience: RequiredMinimum Education: Bachelor's DegreeTravel Requirement: NonePhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environmentsOccasional irregular hours based on trauma patient needsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to lift/move light equipment and engage in hands-on leadership
