Trauma Medical Director / Surgical Critical Care Director

Norwalk Hospital/Northwell Health is seeking a full-time Trauma/Acute Care/Critical Care Surgeon to join its established program and potentially become the next Trauma Medical Director. This role offers the opportunity to work in a 366-bed community teaching hospital, which is the oldest established ACS verified Level II trauma center in Connecticut. The position involves clinical care, program oversight, and teaching within a supportive and well-resourced environment.

• Trauma/Acute Care coverage is provided 24/7 by a team of fellowship-trained, board-certified surgeons and surgical physician assistants.
• The program includes four other fellowship-trained ACS surgeons.
• The team includes PA residents training in a nationally renowned Surgical PA Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the trauma program
• Clinical care
• Teaching surgical PA students, residents, and rotating medical students

Compensation

• $400,000-$500,000 per year relative to experience
• Highly competitive compensation package
• Allowances for professional dues, CME, and relocation expenses

Requirements

• Board certified in General Surgery
• Completed a fellowship in Trauma/Acute/Critical Care Surgery
• Several years of post-fellowship experience
