We are seeking a Trauma / Acute Care Surgery Physician Assistantor Nurse Practitioner to join a collaborative surgical team inLong Beach, California. This is a full-time opportunity providing shift-basedcoverage for trauma and acute care surgery patients in a fast-paced hospitalenvironment.

Schedule

  • Combinationof weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage based on program needs
  • Exactshift structure and annual shift commitment to be finalized

Responsibilities

  • Evaluateand manage trauma and acute care surgery patients in the emergencydepartment and inpatient setting
  • Performinitial and ongoing patient assessments and clinical decision-making
  • Participatein daily rounds and manage hospitalized surgical patients
  • Assistsurgeons with treatment planning and execution
  • Managepreoperative and postoperative patients
  • Orderand interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies within scope ofpractice
  • Performcredentialed bedside procedures within scope of practice
  • Coordinatespecialty consultations and multidisciplinary care
  • Assistwith discharge planning, patient education, and follow-up
  • Respondto changes in patient condition and communicate with supervising surgeonsand hospital teams
  • Maintainaccurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participatein trauma and acute care surgery quality initiatives

Requirements

  • Graduateof an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Currentor eligible California PA or NP license
  • NCCPAcertification for PAs or appropriate national certification for NPs
  • Eligiblefor hospital credentialing and clinical privileges
  • Trauma,acute care surgery, general surgery, emergency medicine, critical care, orother high-acuity experience preferred
  • Strongclinical judgment and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitalenvironment
  • Excellentcommunication and teamwork skills
  • Abilityto collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitmentto high-quality, patient-centered care

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $130,000
