TMS Business AnalystThe TMS Business Analyst’s role is to act as the liaison between the business and IT. In this position, the TMS Business Analyst will work closely across all departments to implement, and act as ongoing continuous improvement support for, the new transportation management software. This person will be hands-on and require skills in identifying, analyzing and implementing existing and newly proposed business processes.This BA role has three major categories of responsibilities:Business process analysis and improvementSystem setup, configuration and production supportDocumentation and testing of new features and functionalityEssential duties and responsibilities include:Business process analysis and improvement Gather business requirements through workshops, meetings, and interviewsDocument current and future system use cases and business flowsCreates technical requirements necessary to implement proposed solutionsTranslates user needs into system requirements, engaging other business functions as neededSystem setup, configuration and production support Act as a subject matter expert for the setup and configuration of TMS.Provide support for connecting to external parties via EDIProvide ongoing support of TMS updates and new functionality.Training/mentoring of end users on system best practicesProvide end-user Operations support for internal and external usersCapable of training others on specific areas of business processes or systemsSupporting the documentation and testing of new features and functionality Assist with the development of system documentation, training materials, communication materials, demos, etc., in preparation for a global deploymentAssist in writing test cases and participating in SIT and UAT activitiesHelp to Identify and resolve data quality issues, assisting with the data management process between host systems and TMS.QualificationsBusiness process analysis and improvement Experience in business analysis.
Ability to translate stakeholder requests into well-defined, documented use cases / requirements and review with stakeholdersSolid knowledge of the application development / configuration process.
