Transportation Planner Assistant (Temp)Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United StatesTransportation Planner Assistant (Temp)Responsibilities:Download data and assess orders that are due/overdue and will be completed that nightTender loads to carriers on time in Smart benchSchedule pickup appointments on time-based on an equal hourly capacityRelease loads to the Warehouse Management System on timeFollow up with carrier and warehouse to maximize on-time truck arrival & shippingFollow up with the carrier to secure same-day or next-day recoveryRelay delivery appointment reschedule requests on timeValidate events during transit, such as accessorial chargesDraft and submit daily closing reports regarding missed pickups, recovery/rescheduling status, remaining overdue orders, and how to clear them outRequirements:Bachelors degree or equivalent preferredA degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is a plus1+ years of experience in data entry3-4 years of customer service experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or procurementAble to work occasional overtime hoursProficient in MS Excel (intermediate or better preferred)Experience/knowledge with Supply Chain Management Systems (TMS, WMS preferred)Strong verbal and written communication skillsDetail-oriented and team playerStrong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to prioritize tasks during time-sensitive situations
