You'll have room to take ownership, build client relationships, deepen your technical expertise, and help develop the next generation of engineers.Your Primary Responsibilities Will IncludeLead roadway design projects through planning, design, and construction support phases.Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality.Oversee development of plans, specifications, estimates, and engineering calculations.Collaborate with clients, agency stakeholders, subconsultants, and multidisciplinary teams.Mentor and develop engineers and design staff.Evaluate engineering alternatives and recommend practical solutions.Support data collection, engineering investigations, and project planning efforts.Ensure designs meet applicable agency and industry standards.What You'll NeedBachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil EngineeringNorth Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license5 - 10 years of transportation roadway design experienceNCDOT roadway design experience (preferred)Proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK.
