Transportation Data ScientistZachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Transportation Data Scientist to join high-impact team applying AI/ML to transform safety, freight, and mobility outcomes. This role is located in McLean, VA through 100% full onsite presence. The Transportation Data Engineer will design, build, and evaluate AI/ML models using multimodal transportation data to advance mobility and transportation safety.Responsibilities of the Transportation Data Scientist include:Design, develop & deploy AI/ML models for transportation use casesBuild & integrate multi-source datasets addressing data quality issuesEvaluate model performance & robustness & provide recommendations to improve scalability, reliability & trustworthinessEngage stakeholders via workshops/briefings, translate needs into roadmaps, proposals, & implementation strategiesCollaborate cross-functionally to align with federal objectives, contribute to technical reports, monthly progress, risk mitigation & iterative model refinementQualifications of the Transportation Data Scientist include:Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Science, AI, EE, Transportation Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred)5+ years of professional data science/ML experienceHands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy & applied AI techniquesProven ETL/data integration with multimodal data, experience managing data quality in production-style workflowsStrong model evaluation skills & testing under variable data conditionsActive Public Trust clearanceCompensation for the Transportation Data Scientist includes:Salary: $95,000-$130,000 depending on experienceBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan, Holidays, PTO, sick leave as required by law
