Transplant Pulmonologist

Houston Methodist Hospital, recognized as the #1 hospital system in Texas and #8 nationally for Pulmonology & Lung Surgery, is seeking a Transplant Pulmonologist to join its distinguished Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Division. This role involves providing comprehensive care for patients with advanced lung disease and lung transplantation, contributing to a high-performing Lung Transplant Program, and supporting academic and research missions. The successful candidate will be part of a nationally recognized program known for exceptional outcomes and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with advanced lung disease and lung transplantation
• Manage pre- and post-lung transplant patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
• Participate in transplant candidate selection, clinical care, and quality initiatives
• Engage in clinical or translational research
• Engage in teaching of trainees

Requirements

• MD or DO (or equivalent)
• Board-certified/eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
• Advanced fellowship training in Lung Transplantation preferred
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure
